Scripture Hike - Nature Outing
Calling all Parents who love Scripture memorization and enjoying God’s creation!
We are scheduling Scripture Hikes for the summer on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of June
and 1st and 3rd Wednesday in July at 12:30pm.
Bring the whole family and BYO Picnic Lunch.
My name is Karyn Smith and I have been the teacher for the Scripture Hiker class this spring. I
am on the lookout for parents who share a passion with me for memorizing scripture along
with their children and prioritizing getting outside!
The Lord has been impressing on me to encourage the kids to memorize identity-themed
verses this year, and in light of this, we will be focusing for the summer on the classic, Psalm
139! We will recite 4 verses each meeting. ???????
As a group we will be using NAS for Psalm 139, but feel free to change it to whatever version
your family prefers.
I will be prepared to listen to anyone who comes with these bonus verses memorized!
There should be a handful of prizes available at a prize table at the end of the summer. I am
working on collecting donations. Parents, if you have anything you think you can donate to the
table, please let me know!!!!
