Homeschool Parent Workshop - Homeschooling High Schoolers
Join us if you are homeschooling a teen through high school and have doubts or questions. We'll discuss the many resources and options there are for older students; the unique social needs during this age and how to meet them outside of traditional school; how to write a transcript and award your child with a diploma; and how to prepare them for college, technical training, or the workforce. Most importantly we will talk about the unique opportunities we have sharing this homeschool, highschool experience with your emerging young adults to help them launch toward God's will for them, and to be a passionate Christ-follower who is prepared to impact his or her generation for God's kingdom.
You will be able to take away inspiration and practical ideas for navigating this important stage.
At this meeting we will also present information about the state of Arkansas' new Education Freedom Accounts, a part of the LEARNS legislation promoted by Governor Sanders Huckabee, that helps families afford the education option that best serves each individual child.
This workshop is made available to the public by the Eclectic Teaching Consortium, the areas longest running Christian hybrid homeschool program.
