Her duties included creating skill acquisition lessons to help improve the child’s ability to interact with their environment in a meaningful way. She specialized in early intervention of children aged 3-6 years old, helping them learn communication skills, self advocacy, self help skills, social skills, and pre-academic skills. She coordinated with the client’s teacher at school, their OT, SLP, and other related service providers attending the child’s yearly IEP meetings as requested by the families. She ensured their classroom teacher felt supported and assisted with the client’s academic success making modifications and accommodations to their classwork as outlined in their IEP.
